RAW SCOUT NOTES FROM CLEVELAND CAVALIER AND ATLANTA HAWK GAMES I WATCHED LAST SEASON (in order from start of the season to the end)
vs Nets
LEVERT has been EXTREMELY disruptive
vs Heat
LEVERT has been awesome for them off the bench
Feel like in the midst of giving credit to Jerome, Niang, Merrill I have missed how well he has scored the ball for them
vs Wizards
LEVERT consistently pressuring the rim since entering the game
Have not given him enough credit for his play because of my focus on Jerome
vs Warriors
LEVERT is a guy I don’t give enough credit to because I am always amazed by the other players off the bench
Can come in and score the basketball, passes a little bit and has even taken the Kuminga matchup
vs Wolves
LEVERT is an important rotation piece for them because he is the defender that takes ANT when Mitchell is off the floor
Who else on the roster does this? Wade?
Gives you a versatility of things on the offensive end
***NOW WITH HAWKS***
vs Magic
LEVERT does a decent job at the point of attack defensively
Has that long wingspan
Has pressure the rim off the bounce pretty well for a guy off the bench
Just doesn’t shoot it quite good enough for what you would want
Be interesting what deal he gets this offseason and where he lands as it looks like he still has enough left to be the 3rd guard for a team for a couple seasons
Has an AWESOME, CLINIC TAPE, weakside box out where he’s on the ground when the shot goes up but he gets up and gets INSIDE position on Paolo to keep him off the OREB
vs Pistons
LEVERT has shown some REALLY active hands on the defensive end
vs Magic (Play in)
LEVERT being this important to their offensive creation speaks to their need for that without Jalen Johnson AND how important he is to the long term success
LEVERT getting to and being successful in the mid range in the 1st quarter
He has been awesome for them so far
Making plays and creating offensive on that end
Had a couple defensive disruptions as well
INSANE HUSTLE play for an OREB at the end of the 3rd quarter that ends with Niang 3PM that could be one of those MOMENTUM swinging plays that changes the outcome of the game that people end up forgetting about
vs Heat (Play in)
They don’t have the offensive creation without Jalen Johnson, LeVert needs to be that guy and can be at times
PLAYOFF NUMBERS
14.9 PPG on 43-35 shooting splits and 29.3 MPG
4 Career Playoff Runs (2 with Nets and 2 with Cavaliers)
love that you have these
I’m excited to see him in Detroit
