RAW SCOUT NOTES FROM GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS GAMES I HAVE WATCHED THIS SEASON (in order from start of the season to the end)
vs Pistons
HIELD continues to just be a flat out bucket from beyond the 3P line
The shot making is just ridiculous
WATERS comes in and does the exact same thing
vs Clippers
WATERS taking the Powell matchup means he might be offering more than just shooting/floor spacing
LOVE that they get him a 3PM to start the game
Backscreen on TJD and then pop to the top of the key
Run the same action the next possession and TJD is open for the lob but bad pass thrown
vs Spurs
WATERS attacks a closeout on his first possession and is actually over 50% from 2P right now
Gives them another of these off ball movers and run off screens gravity guys
vs Mavericks
WATERS is another one of those shooters/floor spacers that has a great understanding of off the ball movement and relocation
Feel like he makes some nice off the ball defensive rotations
Unreal confidence in the jumper
Making clutch buckets
QUICK THOUGHTS
I do NOT think he is a consistent rotation player
I do think he is interesting in games where THJ and/or Beasley miss the game, get in foul trouble, etc. as someone that can provide floor spacing and knock down 3PAs
