Grizzlies - 92 - 99 L
Goodwin, V. Williams, Konchar, JJJ, Aldama
JJJ is again the immediate focal point of the offense
Run an off ball action to get him a 3PA (got fouled)
Attacks next possession and has a nice soft touch left hand floater (x3)
So good passing with his left hand as well, live dribble
Brings the ball up and has filthy little hesitation with great footwork and then scoop finished that counts via goaltend by Capela
I will be fascinated to see how much of this offensive usage we are seeing will continue when Ja and Bane are back next season
We know it will go down but have they tapped into something they can utilize more moving forward
Not nearly as efficient in the 2nd half
V.WILLIAMS passing and eye manipulation is a lot of fun
Just have to wonder what the ultimate role is when he isn’t playing as the pseudo primary initiator
Taken a couple FGAs I didn’t love but may just feel like he has to with the personnel on the court
If he is making 3P shots like he has this year he is going to be a VERY effective player
92% are assisted so that won’t change with the healthy roster
Is also taking the Murray matchup defensively
LARAVIA being aggressive off the bounce over the past handful of games
Love seeing him show his all around game and value
Multiple possessions in the 1st half where active hands create extra possessions
His efficiency numbers may not wow your right now BUT he’s finally getting extended minutes and the process of everything he is doing is right
Making the shots will come
TREY JEMISON
24 Year Old from UAB
6’10 Big in his first year in the NBA, bigger bodied (260)
Play finishing and rebounding big
Hawks
Murray, Bogdanovic, Krejci, Bey, Capela
VIT KREJCI
23 Year Old from Czech Republic
6’8 2nd Round Pick
3rd year in the NBA
On a Two-Way
Has a couple really nice low man rotations and contests
C&S 3PM looks good, couple drives (missed one and nice pass on another)
Multiple really good passes in the 1st half
BOGDANOVIC goes over 1K points in a season for the first time in his NBA career
BEY still taking that side step 3P
31% from 3 right now and 28% on corner 3PAs
I do like seeing how much his rebounding has improved, especially offensively, this was always something I felt like he could have been more impactful with in Detroit
Absolutely blows a couple of attempts at the rim
Not sure any of his drives ended up being fruitful
MURRAY pull up 3P jumper looking pure to start the game
Getting to his pull up jump shot whenever and however he wants
Uses his handle and dribble moves to get to his spots and then able to stop and rise up
Goodness, he was so good throughout the entirety of the game…including late when they HAD to get buckets from him
HUNTER has been shooting the ball well but REALLY struggling to start this game
Best shooting numbers of his career, actually
44% on corners 3PAs
I don’t think he is like a difference maker on defense but he is solid with good size
Does get beat off the bounce by Aldama
TRENT FORREST
25 Year Old from Florida State
6’4 Guard
4th year in the NBA
Really like some of his secondary defender avoidance ball handling
CAPELA did have some nice finishes, showed some patience, but also struggled at times
Have to wonder if the spring and explosion in his legs are just starting to wear down at his age
