I’m big on Sheppard. Hope they get a chance to draft him. I also hope they trade down if Risacher and Reed are off the board.

After I read your write-up on Sheppard, I'm all in. They desperately need this kind of player, and his liabilities on defense seem acceptable. Aren't the Pistons defensive problems just as much team defense as on ball? Plus, as noted he can play with Ivey, which means you don't have to trade him; seems like a nice three-guard rotation filled with immediate impact (Cade, most of all) and future growth (Ivey/Sheppard). Sasser is fun, but a reserve.

I was not expecting Sheppard either. I think I'd be good with him other than...what does that mean for Ivey? I still feel like Ivey has a high ceiling, especially if we get a new coach who gives him confidence. Great piece Bryce!

Maybe he ultimately falls into that 6th man role but the nice thing would be that I think Ivey and Sheppard could share the court for sure....not sure where that would leave Sasser though. As much as I like Ivey I still wonder if he ends up getting moved....guess it all comes down to Trajan and how he sees the roster.
